Redrock microRig

Redrock microRig turns nearly any camera into a portable, shoulder-mounted production platform. Whether you're shooting with a tiny consumer camcorder, a video DSLR, or an ENG-style camera and 35mm lens adapter, this kit not only increases the stability of handheld shooting, it provides new levels of flexibility to how you shoot.

The Redrock microRig is an extremely flexible kit designed to turn your DSLR hybrid camera into a professional video set-up.  The award-winning Redrock microRig change the game when it comes to DSLR shooting styles and situations. No longer encumbered by large heavy cameras, DSLR cinema cameras can shoot anytime, anyplace, discreetly and without drawing attention. Because switching between motion and still photography is a snap with a DSLR, the support rig needs to quickly adapt to the various shooting styles as well. 

The shoulder pad and two rubberized handgrips can be adjusted to nearly any configuration on the handlebar rods, or 15mm support rods. Likewise, hand grips, camera, and shoulder pad can all be adjusted to fit your body and shooting style. The addition of a Redrock microMount enables the rod to support a host of accessories, from articulating arms to external monitors, batteries, audio recorders and portable hard drives.  Other features include:

The Redrock microRig offers a new level of portability and lightweight for still and cinema-style shooting rigs. The heart of this system is the unique, DSLR baseplatewhich is the backbone of any setup. This lightweight baseplate's set screws eliminate camera rotation while using accessories such as the microFollowFocus. The result . . . full-size accessories are no longer needed, further  minimizing weight without sacrificing features.

The microRig also comes with carbon fiber rods. Redrock's unique manufacturing process results in incredibly strong, high-precision rods that are 66% lighter than comparable stainless steel rods.

Based on cinema standards like 15mm rails, film pitch gearing, and standard filter sizes, virtually all components can also be used with video cameras, the Red ONE, and other DSLR's.
