The Sony HDW-F900/3 HDCAM camera shoots in a variety of modes with a resolution of 1920x1080. The camera uses HDCAM tape and offers many of the same features of a 35mm motion picture film camera.The HDW F900 is capable of record/playback of 1080 progressive at 23.98 or 24 or 25 or 29.97 or 30 frames per second or 50 or 59.94, or 60 fields per second at 1080 interlaced. Shooting at 24p allows for frame-for-frame video to film transfer. Additional features include:

To simulate the look of 24 fps motion picture film, the camera can be set to a shutter speed of 1/48th of a second (in order to emulate film shot with a 180 degree shutter). At this setting the F900 has an effective ISO rating of 320 ASA.
