The HD HERO2 is the most advanced GoPro camera yet. Like all GoPro cameras the HERO2 is wearable, gear mountable, and waterproof to 197′ (60m). It captures 170º wide-angle images of professional, full 1080p video, or 11 megapixel still photos at a rate of 10 per second.

GoPro engineers are also working on a soon to be released Wi-Fi BacPac with a long-range remote control for video/photo preview, playback and control via a GoPro App. The upgrade will also have the ability to stream live video and photos to the Web. GoPro’s HD HERO2 is the world’s highest performance wearable 1080p HD video and still photo camera. Professional quality 1080p / 960p / 720p HD resolutions record at 30, 48, and 60 frames per second. Record up to 2.5 hours on a single charge and up to 6 hours on a single 32GB SD card.

The camera also shoots 11MP photos at 2/5/10/30 and 60 second intervals automatically. Press the shutter button once at the start of activity and record up to 2.5 hours of poster-print quality photos.

Included are mounts for attaching the camera to helmets, vehicles, or just about anything. There's even a head strap that allows you to wear the HERO2 like a headlamp. You can also pull this strap over helmets for easy camera swapping. One of the helmet mounts is a lace-through strap-mount designed for vented helmets.

The HD HERO2 is compatible with all other GoPro sounting accessories, so it's very easy to expand the functionality of the camera to other applications like vehicles, bike handlebars and seat posts, surfboards, as well as being worn on the wrist, or chest with optional mounts. HD HERO cameras offers three different resolutions, providing three modes to capture the best angles for any given activity:

• 1080p: 1920x1080 True HD featuring a 127º angle of view, 30 fps, and 16:9 widescreen aspect ratio

11, 8, or 5MP Still Photos, Automatically

• HD HERO cameras can shoot hands-free, 5 megapixel photos automatically at 2 / 5 / 10 / 30 / and 60 second intervals until the batteries die, or the SD card is full (2.5 hours). Or set it to single shot, triple shot, or self timer for more traditional photo taking.
