Blackmagic Mini Converter (HDMI to HDSDI)

The Blackmagic Design Mini Converter transforms HDMI output to a wide variety of HDSDI and SDI signals. Use this device to add SDI output to cameras with HDMI connections, or add SDI outputs to computers with HDMI or DVI connectors. This compact, battery-operated unit transforms HDMI output to a wide variety of HDSDI and SDI signals. Use this device to add SDI output to any camera with an HDMI connector, and computers with HDMI, or DVI connectors. 

Mini Converters feature the latest 3 Gb/s SDI technology.  Firmware upgrades are loaded via the built in USB connection for future video format compatibility. 3 Gb/s SDI is also fully compatible with all standard definition and high definition SDI equipment.

The Blackmagic Mini Converter can also embed audio from balanced AES/EBU, or analog inputs.  Unlike other converters, Mini Converters don't need custom cables, because commonly available standard 1/4 inch jacks are built-in for balanced analog or AES/EBU audio.  Mini Converters are also unique as the same 1/4 inch jack connections can be switched between professional balanced analog audio, or AES/EBU digital audio, including embedded HDMI audio. This means a single Mini Converter can be used for both analog and digital audio with the flick of a mini switch on the side of the unit.

A universal power supply with international socket adapters for all countries is included in the kit. This lets you take the Mini Converter to any location worldwide, and plug directly into the local power supply. To stop power accidentally being disconnected, the unit also features a cable tie point to lock the power connection in place.
