Honda EU6500is Generator

The Honda EU65000is provides 6,500 Watts of clean (i.e. pure sinewave) power ideally suited for sensitive electronics and lighting. This super-quiet generator produces only 60dB at its maximum rated load, and will run up to 14 hours on a single tank of gas using the Eco-Throttle feature.

Computers, lights and other power-sensitive equipment require what is referred to as "clean power." Clean power is electrical current that is consistent and has a stable "sine wave", or signal. For example, lights powered by traditional generators that fluctuate, dim and then return to full brightness as the current changes. However, if monitors, laptops or other electronic equipment experience voltage fluctuations, operation is interrupted, or the unit shuts down completely.  To overcome this problem, Honda engineers developed a revolutionary inverter technology. Their process takes raw current produced by the generator and passes it through a special microprocessor that provides ultra-clean power with a sine wave equal to, or better than household AC current. This means that for the first time, you can operate computers, or other sensitive equipment at a remote location without the fear of interrupted service, or damage.

Honda’s unique inverter technology also dramatically reduces the size and weight of the EU6500. This reduction is possible because the alternator is built-in to the engine, eliminating the need for a bulky, heavy independent alternator. To prevent engine damage, Honda's Oil Alert system is designed to automatically shut the engine off if oil pressure drop below a safe operating level. Other features include:
