Key features of Black F/X filters include:

• Does spectacular job of suppressing facial blemishes and wrinkles
• Maintains clear focused image

Gold F/X filters take Black Diffusion F/X a step further:

• Gold F/X is most effective when a "soft golden warmth" is desired in close-ups and shadows
• Infuses images with a special warmth
• Balances any mix of skin tone

FX filters are made with an irregular black or gold pattern which softens smaller details, like wrinkles and skin blemishes, while leaving larger details such as the eyes sharp.  This filter is most effective when used for interviews and other people shots where it improves skin tones and is ideal for close-ups on a cloudy day, or outdoors in shade on a sunny day.
