DL Wireless HDMI LCD Directors Monitor (100 ft)

The Digital Labs Wireless HDMI LCD Director's Monitor is a low-cost solution (100 feet unobstructed line-of-sight approx) for remote camera viewing in studio, or on location. The 7" screen is capable of 1920x1440 (HDMI), or 800x480 (VGA) resolution.

The wireless signal is transmitted in real time with almost no lag (i.e. the one milisecond latency is barely perceived by the human eye). The transmitted signal is 1080p with a data rate of 3GB per second. On some DSLR cameras, like the Canon 5D MKII, the HDMI output from the camera drops from 1080p to 480p when the record button is pushed. During this time, there is a 3.2 second black out on the monitor as the HDMI monitor reacquires the downgraded signal and switches to the lower resolution.

This long-range pro version features a powerful three watt transmitter and receiver. Each of the four rechargeable Li-ion batteries that are included in the package provide about three hours of continuous use. The unobstructed line of sight range is approximately 100-feet. Walls, or other obstructions between the transmitter and receiver reduces range significantly.

The Digital Labs HDMI Wireless Monitor works with any camera that has an HDMI out. Most new professional video cameras and DSLR's have HDMI connectors. The package also includes a cable that plugs into mini HDMI connectors too. With its integrated carry handles this system is ideal for shooting on the move where the Producer, Director, or Client wants to monitor shots without being tethered to the camera.

NOTE: As a wireless device, the unit can be subject to environmental interference. It operates in the same frequency range as some cordless phones, TV remotes, Wi-Fi routers, walkie talkies, and other electronic equipment. When nearby, these external sources can create interference and some static. However, most times picture transmission is crystal-clear.
