The Scout vest is based on the extremely comfortable Flyer design. The ergonomic fit of the breast plate is combined with solid metal shoulder fasteners to provide a secure fit and new level of comfort for extended use. The Scout light-weight aluminum dovetail stage was designed for camera mounting stability.

Steadicam's patented tool-free iso-elastic stabilizer arm supports camera weighing up to 18 pounds (8kg). No-tools Arm/Vest interface makes customization to the individual operator quick and easy. “On-the-fly weight adjustment also frees the operator from dismounting the system to make changes. The arm's open design provides freedom of movement unknown in this weight class, and the Scout's adjustable and interchangeable arm post assembly is a feature usually found on more expensive systems. The 2-section arm separates for compact storage and transport.

The 7" active matrix color LCD monitor features enhanced image quality and a wide viewing angle. Even under bright sunlight this monitor is ideal for field production use.
